Mandaadi (2026) is a Tamil action-sports drama set in a coastal fishing community where traditional sailboat racing is a matter of pride and identity. The story follows Muthu Kaali (Soori), a highly skilled boat racer who leaves his village and starts working as a swimming instructor in Hyderabad. However, a young man named Mallesh and his rivalry with the powerful Saattaappuli force Kaali to return to his hometown. As old relationships, rivalries and secrets from Kaali’s past resurface, he is drawn back into the world of sailboat racing. The film combines the struggles of coastal communities, friendship, family emotions and intense competition, building toward a major race that becomes a test of courage, loyalty and redemption.
