Set amid Barcelona’s 1970s urban landscape, the film centers on Manolo Vital, a bus driver who becomes an unlikely hero for his working-class immigrant neighborhood, Torre Baró. The city government insisted buses couldn’t navigate the narrow streets there. In response, Manolo drove route 47 into the heart of the neighborhood himself, pushing back against neglect and sparking a grassroots movement for dignity, recognition, and public services.
