Jassi (Ajay Devgn), a fun-loving and slightly goofy Punjabi man living in London, learns he has inherited ancestral property back in Punjab. Excited to sell it quickly and return, he heads to India.
On the way, Jassi has a chance encounter with a spirited young woman, Sukhmeet (Sonakshi Sinha), and is instantly smitten.
Upon reaching Punjab, Jassi unknowingly takes shelter in the mansion of Balwinder Singh Sandhu (Sanjay Dutt), the head of a family that has a generations-old blood feud with Jassi’s family.
Due to the code of traditional Punjabi hospitality, the Sandhu family cannot harm a guest while he is under their roof. As soon as Jassi realizes he’s the target of the feud, he hatches a series of comical plans to avoid stepping outside the mansion, where danger awaits.
