The Order (2024) is a gripping crime thriller directed by Justin Kurzel, inspired by true events from 1980s America. The film delves into the rise of domestic terrorism, focusing on a white supremacist group known as "The Order."
Set in 1983, the story follows veteran FBI agent Terry Husk (Jude Law) as he investigates a series of violent bank robberies, bombings, and armored car heists terrorizing the Pacific Northwest. Husk uncovers that these crimes are orchestrated by a radical white supremacist militia led by the charismatic yet dangerous Bob Mathews (Nicholas Hoult). Mathews' group, inspired by extremist literature like The Turner Diaries, aims to overthrow the U.S. government and establish an all-white homeland.
