The Brutalist 2024

The Brutalist (2024), directed by Brady Corbet, is an epic period drama that chronicles the life of László Tóth, a Hungarian-Jewish architect and Holocaust survivor. After enduring the horrors of Buchenwald, László immigrates to the United States in 1947, aiming to rebuild his life and reunite with his wife, Erzsébet, and niece, Zsófia

Upon arriving in Pennsylvania, László reconnects with his cousin Attila, who has assimilated into American culture. László's architectural talents catch the attention of industrialist Harrison Lee Van Buren, leading to a commission for the Van Buren Institute—a grand community center. However, the project becomes a battleground of artistic vision versus economic constraints, and László's personal life unravels amid addiction and trauma.
