Night Hunter (2018), originally titled Nomis, is a Canadian-American action thriller written and directed by David Raymond. The film features a notable cast including Henry Cavill, Ben Kingsley, Alexandra Daddario, and Stanley Tucci. It premiered at the LA Film Festival on September 28, 2018, and was later released on August 8, 2019, by DirecTV on video on demand and theatrically on September 6, 2019, by Saban Films.
Detective Walter Marshall (Henry Cavill) investigates the death of a young woman found on a lumber truck in Minnesota. He suspects she leapt to her death to escape captivity. The case takes a turn when former judge Michael Cooper (Ben Kingsley), who operates a vigilante sting operation with his ward Lara (Eliana Jones) to capture child predators, inadvertently leads to Lara's kidnapping. Using a tracker in Lara's earrings, Marshall locates and rescues her along with other captive women in a mansion owned by Simon Stulls (Brendan Fletcher), a man with apparent mental disabilities.
