Lucca's World (Spanish: Los Dos Hemisferios de Lucca) is a 2025 Mexican drama film directed by Mariana Chenillo. The film stars Bárbara Mori as Bárbara Anderson, a mother determined to improve the life of her son, Lucca, portrayed by Julián Tello, who was born with cerebral palsy. Inspired by true events, the story is based on Anderson’s autobiographical book The Two Hemispheres of Lucca .
The narrative follows Bárbara Anderson and her husband, Andrés (Juan Pablo Medina), as they navigate the challenges of raising their son, Lucca, who suffers from cerebral palsy due to complications during birth. Facing limited treatment options in Mexico, Bárbara learns about an experimental therapy called the Cytotron, available in India, which claims to stimulate neuronal regeneration. Determined to provide the best care for her son, she embarks on a journey to India with her family, confronting various obstacles and cultural differences along the way.
