Demon City is a 2025 Japanese action-thriller directed by Seiji Tanaka, adapted from Masamichi Kawabe's manga Oni Goroshi. The film stars Toma Ikuta as Shuhei Sakata, a former hitman seeking vengeance against a gang of masked criminals who destroyed his life.
Shuhei Sakata, once a feared assassin, attempts to leave his violent past behind to live peacefully with his wife and daughter. However, his past catches up with him when a gang known as the Kimen-gumi, donning demon masks, murders his family and leaves him for dead. Surviving the attack but left wheelchair-bound and partially paralyzed, Sakata spends twelve years recovering and plotting his revenge. Upon his return, he embarks on a relentless and bloody quest to dismantle the Kimen-gumi and uncover the truth behind their actions.
