Bhaje Vaayu Vegam (2024) is a Telugu-language action thriller directed by Prashanth Reddy, featuring Kartikeya Gummakonda in the lead role. The film delves into themes of familial bonds, desperation, and the unforeseen consequences of risky decisions.
Venkat (Kartikeya Gummakonda), an aspiring cricketer, and his adoptive brother Raju (Rahul Haridas) relocate to Hyderabad to chase their dreams. Venkat aims to join the Indian cricket team, while Raju secures an IT job. Their adoptive father, Lakshmaiah (Tanikella Bharani), remains in their native village.
When Lakshmaiah falls gravely ill, requiring an expensive surgery, Venkat resorts to IPL betting to raise funds. Though he initially wins, the bookie deceives him, demanding a larger sum. In desperation, Venkat and Raju steal a luxury car belonging to David (Ravi Shankar), a notorious mafia figure. Unbeknownst to them, the car contains a significant amount of cash, plunging them into a perilous web of crime and corruption.
