Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai is an intense legal drama that revolves around a lone, relentless lawyer, Manoj Kumar (played by Boman Irani), who takes on an extraordinarily tough case involving a powerful godman accused of sexually assaulting a young girl. The film explores the power dynamics between justice, faith, and corruption, highlighting the struggle of an ordinary individual fighting against a giant, well-protected by wealth and influence. The film opens with Manoj Kumar, a middle-aged, reclusive lawyer with a reputation for being morally upright but struggling to make a name for himself in a legal world full of compromises. He is depicted as someone who has always fought small cases, choosing justice over money. His life takes a dramatic turn when a single mother, Seema Verma (played by Meher Vij), approaches him with a harrowing story about her young daughter, Aarti (played by Niharika Singh), who has been assaulted by a famous and influential spiritual guru, Acharya Raghavendra (played by Madhur Mittal).

Seema is desperate for justice but is afraid to challenge the revered guru, whose followers wield considerable influence in the political and media circles. The girl’s testimony is crucial, but the case is complicated by the guru's loyal supporters who have enough power to make the authorities turn a blind eye. Despite all the odds, Seema believes that Manoj is the only one who can help her, and after much hesitation, Manoj agrees to represent her in court.
