Sherdil: The Pilibhit Saga is a dark comedy-drama about Gangaram, a poor villager whose family and community are suffering because of crop damage caused by wild animals. With no easy solution to their problems, Gangaram comes up with an unusual plan that he believes will help his village receive government compensation. His plan brings him face-to-face with a mysterious forest ranger, and the situation soon becomes more complicated than he expected. As Gangaram struggles between his responsibilities, poverty, and the consequences of his decisions, the story explores human desperation, wildlife conflict, and the strange ways people try to survive difficult circumstances.
