Toaster (2026) is a Hindi black comedy thriller that follows Ramakant, an extremely frugal perfume shop owner who becomes irrationally obsessed with recovering an expensive toaster he gifted to a newlywed couple after their marriage falls apart the very next day. What begins as a ridiculous attempt to reclaim the appliance quickly spirals into complete chaos when the toaster is stolen, a murder takes place, and it is revealed that the seemingly ordinary appliance contains a hidden memory card with incriminating evidence against a powerful politician. As corrupt police officers, blackmailers, and dangerous criminals all chase the same toaster, Ramakant and his wife Shilpa find themselves caught in a whirlwind of deception, mistaken identities, and life-threatening situations. Blending dark humor with suspense, the film builds to a fast-paced climax where the truth is exposed, justice prevails, and Ramakant finally learns that his obsession with money has nearly cost him everything.
