In the Hand of Dante is a historical crime drama that weaves together two parallel stories across centuries. In the present day, troubled writer Nick Tosches is drawn into a dangerous underworld after a powerful mafia boss hires him to authenticate and steal what may be the original handwritten manuscript of Dante Alighieri’s The Divine Comedy. At the same time, the film follows Dante himself in 14th-century Italy as he struggles with exile, love, faith, and the creation of his legendary masterpiece.
