In Sarbala Ji (2025), set in pre-independence Punjab, two very different cousins — the flamboyant wedding entertainer Sucha (Gippy Grewal) and his timid, sewing-loving cousin Gajjan (Ammy Virk) — find themselves in hot water after a harmless flirtation at a wedding causes Sucha to swear off marriage. Chaos ensues when Gajjan is kidnapped on his baraat by a bandit gang, and Sucha is forced to pretend to be the groom. Their impersonation spirals into a hilarious mess of mistaken identities, secret crushes, dacoits, and two weddings — ultimately leading both cousins on a wild, heartwarming ride full of redemption, brotherhood, and true love.
