Set in late 1980s Allahabad, the story follows Deepak, whose father's assault ignites a vengeance-fueled descent into the underworld. Rechristened "Maalik" (meaning "Master"), he builds a criminal empire by confronting rival gangs, manipulative politicians, and a corrupt landscape. Despite expanding power, he remains tethered to family—his father, mother, and pregnant wife, Shalini—while battling pressures from the likes of suspended officer Prabhu Das, political mentor Dadda, and business rival Chandrashekhar.
