Set against the unsettling backdrop of a New Year’s Eve marked by local riots, twelve strangers take refuge at the home of a retired army major. By dawn, ten of them are dead. Only two individuals survive:
- Manto, a 13-year-old boy who becomes the prime suspect and is institutionalized.
- Raaz, the only surviving adult, who flees in fear and remains distant from the events for the next thirteen years.
Thirteen years later, driven by guilt, unresolved curiosity, or a thirst for truth, Raaz returns to the scene. As he revisits that fateful night, Manto recounts his memories—fragmented, haunting, and bewildering. Through his narration, layers of betrayal, hidden motives, and chilling secrets begin to surface.
