The Stakelander (2016), also known as Stake Land II, is a post-apocalyptic vampire horror film directed by Dan Berk and Robert Olsen. Serving as a sequel to the 2010 film Stake Land, it continues the story of Martin, portrayed by Connor Paolo, in a world ravaged by vampires and human cults.
Years after the events of the first film, Martin has found solace in a settlement called New Eden, where he lives with his wife, Peggy, and their daughter, Belle. This peace is shattered when a revitalized Brotherhood, now led by a formidable sentient vampire known as "The Mother," attacks New Eden, killing Martin's family and destroying the community.
Driven by vengeance, Martin ventures into the desolate badlands of America in search of his former mentor and legendary vampire hunter, Mister (Nick Damici). During his journey, Martin is captured by a group of cannibals and forced into a death match, where he unexpectedly reunites with Mister. Recognizing each other, they escape together, rescuing a feral girl named Lady along the way.
