Arjun Sen (Abhishek Bachchan) is a successful marketing professional based in California, known for his persuasive skills and strategic mind. His life revolves around his career, often at the expense of his relationship with his daughter, Reya (Ahilya Bamroo). Their bond has been strained since his divorce, with Arjun's frequent hospital visits and emotional unavailability creating a growing distance between them.
The narrative takes a dramatic turn when Arjun is diagnosed with laryngeal cancer, leading to a series of surgeries that affect his ability to speak. Despite the medical interventions, the cancer spreads, and doctors inform him that he has approximately 100 days to live. This prognosis forces Arjun to reevaluate his life choices and priorities.
As he grapples with his mortality, Arjun attempts to mend his fractured relationship with Reya. A pivotal moment occurs when Reya ranks Arjun eighth in a diagram of people close to her, prompting him to reflect on his role as a father. With the support of his compassionate nurse, Nancy (Kristin Goddard), and his oncologist, Dr. Jayant Deb, Arjun embarks on a journey of self-discovery and reconciliation.
The film delves into themes of redemption, the complexities of parent-child relationships, and the human capacity for resilience in the face of adversity. Arjun's story is one of transformation, as he learns to embrace vulnerability and prioritize meaningful connections over professional success.
