Door Lock is a 2018 South Korean psychological thriller directed by Lee Kwon, starring Gong Hyo-jin as Cho Kyung-min, a bank employee living alone in a studio apartment. The film is a remake of the 2011 Spanish movie Sleep Tight, reimagined from the victim's perspective .
Kyung-min's seemingly ordinary life takes a terrifying turn when she notices signs of unauthorized entry into her apartment. Despite changing her digital door lock's password, she hears someone attempting to unlock her door at night. The police dismiss her concerns, attributing them to paranoia.
As unsettling incidents escalate, including the discovery of a cigarette butt outside her door and a murder in her apartment complex, Kyung-min realizes she's being targeted. With law enforcement unhelpful, she embarks on her own investigation, uncovering a chilling truth: the building's maintenance man, Han Dong-hoon, is the perpetrator, having been secretly entering her apartment and committing heinous crimes .
