Guk-hee (Song Joong-ki), a 19-year-old whose family business collapses due to the financial crisis, relocates with his family to Bogotá in search of a better life. However, upon arrival, they are robbed of their belongings, leaving them destitute in an unfamiliar city. To survive, Guk-hee begins working for Sergeant Park, a powerful figure within the Korean Merchants' Association in Bogotá.
Impressing Park with his diligence, Guk-hee is entrusted with a clothing smuggling operation. During this mission, he narrowly escapes capture by Colombian customs, showcasing his resourcefulness and earning the attention of Soo-young, a customs broker. Soo-young offers Guk-hee a dangerous proposition, setting him on a path deeper into the city's criminal underbelly. As Guk-hee ascends the ranks of the black market, he grapples with moral dilemmas and the cost of ambition.
