Set in early 1980s Turin, the film follows Lorenzo Mancini, a stage magician haunted by the traumatic death of his father, "The Great Dante," who perished during a magic trick gone awry 30 years prior. Lorenzo, portrayed by Germán Baudino, returns to perform at the same theater where his father died. As he prepares for his show, a series of gruesome murders occur, each mimicking classic stage illusions. The killer, dubbed "The Magician" by the press, uses modified magic tricks as methods of murder, and Lorenzo finds himself framed for these crimes .
Struggling with alcoholism and a gambling addiction, Lorenzo must navigate a web of deception to clear his name and uncover the true identity of the murderer. The film pays homage to classic giallo cinema, characterized by stylized visuals, suspenseful storytelling, and a haunting score .
