The movie picks up months after the events of the first film. Arjun Rao, a seasoned and reclusive detective known for his sharp mind and quiet demeanor, has returned to a more subdued life, keeping a low profile after his last high-profile case. However, his peace is shattered one evening when he receives an urgent call from an old friend, Inspector Ravi (played by Sushant Singh Rajput), about a gruesome incident at The Night Owl, a popular bar in the heart of the city.
When Arjun arrives at the scene, he finds a chilling sight: several individuals have been shot dead, including a local politician's son, a notorious gangster, and a few high-profile businessmen. The shootout is well-orchestrated, with minimal evidence left behind, and the only surviving witness is a young woman named Priya (played by Radhika Apte), a waitress at the bar who seems to be hiding something. The police are at a loss, and the media is already labeling the massacre as a gang war gone wrong. But Arjun senses that there’s more to the story than meets the eye.
