Gulmohar (2023)


"Gulmohar" is a heartfelt drama that weaves together themes of family, legacy, and the emotional bonds that tie generations together. The story centers around the Batra family, who are on the verge of leaving their ancestral home, a charming old mansion named Gulmohar, nestled in the heart of Delhi.

As the Batras prepare to move to a modern apartment, Kusum Batra, the matriarch, decides to spend the family's last four days in Gulmohar celebrating their shared memories and legacy. The decision brings together the different members of the family, each carrying their own secrets, regrets, and dreams. The house becomes a space where old wounds are revisited, and relationships are tested.

Arun, Kusum's son, struggles with the burden of living up to his father’s expectations and the responsibilities of taking over the family business. His wife, Indira, juggles her career ambitions with the desire to keep the family together. Their son, Aditya, finds himself at a crossroads, torn between following in his father’s footsteps or forging his own path.


As the family comes together to pack up their belongings, the house reveals its own stories through old letters, photographs, and forgotten treasures. Each discovery sparks a memory, shedding light on the sacrifices, joys, and struggles that have defined the Batras’ journey.
