Dasara (2023)

 

Dasara (2023) is a Telugu-language action drama film directed by Srikanth Odela, starring Nani in the lead role, alongside Keerthy Suresh, Dheekshith Shetty, and Samuthirakani. The film is set in a coal mining town and explores themes of friendship, rivalry, and revenge.

The story is set in the backdrop of a fictional village, Veerlapally, in Telangana, where the coal mines play a central role in the livelihood of the community. The protagonist, Dharani (Nani), is a carefree and fun-loving man who enjoys life with his friends, including his childhood friend Vennela (Keerthy Suresh). Dharani is known for his free spirit and is often caught in brawls, particularly due to his strong sense of loyalty to his friends and village.

Dharani's life takes a dramatic turn when he is caught up in the power struggle surrounding the illegal activities of the coal mafia. The village is controlled by two factions—one led by the corrupt Shivanna (Samuthirakani) and the other by Suryanarayana (played by Dheekshith Shetty). Dharani becomes inadvertently involved in this rivalry, which threatens to spiral out of control.
